Blake And Brea Angliss Celebrate Podium Finish In First Race Together

Racing siblings Blake and Brea Angliss secured silverware in their first-ever race competing as team-mates, combining to take a class podium finish in the Silverlake C1 Racing Series at Donington Park last Sunday (19 July).

Following Brea’s brilliant performance on her endurance racing debut in the BRSCC Silverstone 24 Hours back in May, she reunited with Silverlake Motorsport to pilot their Citroen C1 once again alongside Blake and Briannie Davis.

While Brea headed to Donington Park with good experience in the car, it marked Blake’s first time driving the 68bhp C1 - a vastly different machine to the McLaren Artura GT4 that he’s racing in the British GT Championship this year.

The Coventry-based duo were immediately on the pace around the 1.98-mile Donington Park National circuit. Blake set their quickest lap in qualifying, securing them 12th place overall and fifth in the AM class as part of a mammoth 49-car grid.

As the three-hour endurance race got underway, the #458 crew quickly moved themselves into the AM podium battle. Consistent lap times and great racecraft throughout ensured they took the chequered flag in an improved eighth overall and a great third in the AM class.

Blake Angliss: “I’m glad I’ve finally found a race car that I can see over the steering wheel in without any extra seat padding. The C1 is a different beast to my usual McLaren, but it was really fun to push to its limit.

“I really enjoyed sharing a car with Brea. I think we both proved that we can make for a pretty good pairing and hopefully we can step into other cars and championships together in the future.”

Brea Angliss: “It was great to be back with Silverlake Motorsport to race their Citroen C1 again. I have fantastic time with them for the 24 hour race, so jumped at the opportunity to get behind the wheel again at Donington Park.

“We’ve been talking about racing together for years, so it was fun to get the chance to share a car with Blake for the first time. We were on our best behaviour, worked together well and came home with a good result.”

Blake continues his 2026 British GT Championship season next month (15/16 August), with a pair of one-hour sprint races at Snetterton in Norfolk.
