Rising star Brea Angliss will be returning to the Ginetta Junior Championship grid for the final two meetings of the 2023 season, with an exciting move seeing her switch to the successful Preptech UK team starting next weekend at Brands Hatch (09/10 September).
Angliss is contesting her first full-season of car-racing this year and has shown tremendous resilience to overcome a number of issues through the season and produce some eye-catching performances in one of the most competitive championships in the UK.
The 15-year-old talent from Coventry enjoyed a brilliant start to the campaign with a top ten result in the opening race at Oulton Park, which she has backed up with multiple points finishes since. Across each event to date, the rookie has made impressive progress with her speed and racecraft.
After missing the last event, Angliss is excited to return to the track this weekend and push for a positive end to the campaign with Preptech UK. The hugely experienced Hampshire-based team have been front-runners in Ginetta competition across the last few seasons.
Angliss, who races with the support of Transend, Haigh Engineering, Empire RV and Filtered, will tackle three races around the world-famous Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend. All of the action will be streamed live on Ginetta’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Brea Angliss: “I’m really looking forward to getting back on track at Brands Hatch and going racing again. It’s a big change to swap teams again mid-season, but we’re impressed by what Preptech UK can offer and it will be a big help for me to race with multiple team-mates to share data with. I’m hoping to make some good progress at Brands Hatch with three strong, clean races.”
Oliver Barnard, Preptech UK Team Principal: “As a team we are really excited that Brea will be joining us to complete her first year of car racing. There is a mutual goal of extracting the maximum out of the short time we have together. After one test, we have seen the progression Brea is capable of in our environment. We hope to build on that over the last two weekends to aid Brea's development and achieve results that are deserving of her driving and diligence.”
